Can a simple vitamin boost heart healing in kids?
NCT ID NCT06298344
Summary
This study looked at whether giving vitamin B1 (thiamine) helps children's hearts recover better after a minimally invasive procedure to fix common heart defects. Researchers gave 86 children either the vitamin or no vitamin for 28 days after their procedure. They measured heart structure, function, and certain blood markers to see if the vitamin made a difference.
