Vitamin boost for tiny hearts: can a simple supplement improve recovery?
NCT ID NCT06298344
Summary
This study tested whether giving children a vitamin called thiamine (vitamin B1) for 28 days after a heart repair procedure could help their hearts heal better. Researchers looked at 86 children with specific heart defects to see if the vitamin improved heart structure and function compared to those who did not receive it. The goal was to find a simple, supportive treatment to aid recovery after the main surgical fix.
