First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tested a procedure called radiofrequency ablation, which uses heat to destroy small thyroid cancers. 27 adults with low-risk papillary thyroid microcarcinoma who did not want surgery or active monitoring took part. The goal was to see if the treatment could eliminate the tumor and keep it from coming back, while tracking any side effects.
