Summary

This study tested a procedure called radiofrequency ablation (using heat) to destroy small, low-risk thyroid cancers in 27 adults who did not want surgery or active monitoring. The goal was to see if the treatment could eliminate the tumor safely. Results were checked with ultrasound and cell samples 24 months later.
