NCT ID NCT07376031
First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study tested whether a heated probe applied to the cervix (thermal ablation) can help clear a persistent HPV infection in women aged 40 and older. 131 women with long-lasting HPV but no severe cell changes were randomly assigned to receive the treatment or no treatment. Researchers tracked HPV test results at 3, 6, and 12 months to see if the heat treatment helped the body clear the virus faster.
