Can changing thoughts stop seizures? new therapy trial for teens

NCT ID NCT06007053

Summary

This study is testing a talk therapy called ReACT for teens (ages 11-18) who have non-epileptic seizures. These seizures are real and distressing but are not caused by abnormal brain electricity like epilepsy. The goal is to see if therapy that helps teens feel more in control and less fearful of symptoms can reduce seizure frequency. Participants will have 12 therapy sessions and be compared to a group receiving standard supportive therapy.
