Can talking it out help dads beat the baby blues?

NCT ID NCT07166237

Summary

This small pilot study is testing whether a 9-week online group talk therapy program is a practical way to help fathers who experience depression during their partner's pregnancy or their baby's first year and a half. It will involve 48 fathers in Ontario, who will be randomly assigned to either receive the therapy plus usual care, or just usual care. The main goal is to see if running this kind of study is feasible, while also getting an early look at whether the therapy might help reduce depression symptoms.
