Mind over surgery: therapy eases kidney Donors' fears and pain
NCT ID NCT07261917
Summary
This study looked at whether talking to a mental health professional before surgery could help people donating a kidney. The goal was to see if this support could reduce their anxiety, make their blood pressure and heart rate more stable during the operation, and lessen their pain afterwards. Researchers worked with 123 living kidney donors to measure these effects.
