Virtual therapy aims to ease the mental strain of diabetes
NCT ID NCT05000021
Summary
This study is testing if online cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) can help reduce the emotional distress and worry that often comes with managing type 1 diabetes. Researchers will compare the therapy, combined with a continuous glucose monitor, to using the monitor alone in 93 adults. The goal is to see if this approach improves both mental well-being and blood sugar control over a 6-month virtual study.
