NCT ID NCT06725134

First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study tests whether having a therapy dog present helps children aged 4 to 12 feel less anxious and behave better during the numbing injection at the dentist. Researchers will measure children's heart rate, behavior, and self-reported anxiety with and without a dog. The goal is to find a simple, drug-free way to make dental visits less stressful for kids.
