Gentle touch tested to ease pain and fear of childbirth
NCT ID NCT06426329
Summary
This study tested whether a gentle, hands-on therapy called therapeutic touch could help women during vaginal birth. Researchers worked with 66 women to see if this touch could reduce labor pain, shorten birth duration, and lower feelings of anxiety and trauma. One group received the touch therapy, while a comparison group received standard care.
