New hope for kids with rare, aggressive cancer after other treatments fail

NCT ID NCT06470464

Summary

This study tested a new combination of drugs for children with a rare and aggressive cancer called yolk sac tumor, which had come back or stopped responding to standard treatments. It combined an older drug, thalidomide, with three chemotherapy drugs to see if it could shrink tumors. The goal was to find a more effective option for these very sick children who had run out of other choices.
