Massive study launched to check if asthma drug affects heart health

NCT ID NCT06951867

Summary

This study is checking if the severe asthma medication tezepelumab increases the risk of serious heart problems like heart attacks or strokes. It will follow over 16,000 teens and adults with severe asthma in four countries, comparing those taking the drug to those on standard treatments. Researchers will review patient records for about five years to see if there is a difference in heart-related events between the two groups.
