Can text messages help more black moms breastfeed?

NCT ID NCT06375655

Summary

This study tested whether a special text message program designed for Black expectant mothers could help more women breastfeed exclusively for the first two months. Researchers compared this tailored program to a general national maternal health texting service. The goal was to provide better support, as breastfeeding rates are lower among Black women despite its health benefits for both mother and baby.
