Can text messages ease trauma? new study tests video therapy for youth
NCT ID NCT07165782
Summary
This study is testing whether short educational videos sent by text message can help young people (ages 15-25) manage symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Researchers want to see if this approach is practical and acceptable to youth, and if it might help reduce PTSD, anxiety, and depression symptoms. About 100 Canadian participants will be randomly assigned to receive the videos immediately or after a waiting period, with everyone completing online surveys to track their mental health.
