Texting with a mentor eases new Moms' anxiety, study finds
NCT ID NCT07380061
Summary
This study tested whether a text messaging program connecting pregnant people with trained peer mentors could help support mental health. 127 participants in Washington were randomly assigned to either text with a mentor or receive automated informational messages. The program was well-used and showed promise for reducing anxiety after birth, though it didn't significantly affect depression or parenting stress levels in this small pilot study.
