First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether automated text message reminders can encourage people with hearing loss to get hearing aids. Researchers will enroll 190 adults who have been recommended for hearing aids but do not yet use them. Participants will receive texts with basic information about hearing loss and reminders to obtain hearing aids. The goal is to see if this simple approach increases hearing aid adoption.
