Can a simple text message tame teen diabetes?
NCT ID NCT02230137
Summary
This study tested whether sending daily text message reminders could help teenagers with poorly controlled type 1 diabetes improve their blood sugar management. Researchers enrolled 92 adolescents and randomly assigned some to receive standard care plus text message support for 6 months. The goal was to see if these simple reminders before insulin injections could lead to better long-term blood sugar control and improved quality of life.
