Can a simple text save a Baby's life? study tests messaging to prevent SIDS

NCT ID NCT04387552

Summary

This study tested whether sending educational text messages to pregnant women could help them follow safe sleep practices for their babies and breastfeed longer. Over 2,100 pregnant women received different combinations of messages about putting babies to sleep on their backs and breastfeeding. The goal was to see if this easy, direct communication could prevent Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) and support infant health.
