Can a text a week ease a Student's grief?
NCT ID NCT07228260
Summary
This study is testing whether a simple, private text message program can help UCLA students who have recently lost a loved one. About 126 students will be randomly assigned to either receive weekly supportive texts for a year or get a standard list of grief resources. Researchers will check if the texts reduce feelings of severe grief and depression and help students stay on track academically over 12 months.
