New pill may shield celiac patients from accidental gluten

Summary
This study tests an experimental drug called TEV-53408 in 50 adults with celiac disease who already follow a gluten-free diet. The goal is to see if the drug can reduce intestinal damage caused by small amounts of gluten. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive the drug or a placebo, and the trial lasts about 86 weeks.
