First seen Apr 04, 2026 · Last updated Apr 06, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This online study is testing whether a simple video game can help reduce the frequency and distress of unwanted, intrusive memories in people who have experienced trauma. Researchers will have participants briefly view trauma-related images they provide, then play Tetris, aiming to interfere with how those memories are stored. The goal is to see if this approach reduces flashbacks and other PTSD symptoms without requiring people to consciously relive their traumatic experiences.
