Summary

This study tests a new approach to reduce intrusive memories in people with PTSD. Instead of asking participants to consciously recall their trauma, the intervention uses a brief, unconscious reminder followed by playing the video game Tetris. The goal is to weaken the memory during a natural reconsolidation window, making it less frequent and less distressing. The trial will enroll 106 trauma-exposed individuals who experience at least five intrusive memories per week.
