First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated May 11, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study tested a drug called tetrabenazine (Xenazine) in 54 adults with tardive dyskinesia, a condition causing uncontrollable movements after long-term antipsychotic use. The goal was to see if the drug could reduce these movements better than a placebo over 10 weeks. The trial aimed to provide stronger evidence for a treatment that specialists already believe works well.
