Affordable cancer drug shows promise in lab tests
NCT ID NCT04234022
Summary
This study is testing whether a drug called Imuthiol (Zn-DDC) can kill cancer cells in the lab, specifically for blood cancers like multiple myeloma and leukemia. Researchers will collect bone marrow samples from 70 patients to see how cancer cells respond to Imuthiol alone and combined with other drugs. The goal is to gather evidence that could lead to future clinical trials testing Imuthiol as a more affordable treatment option.
