New 'Artificial Pancreas' system tested in kids with diabetes

NCT ID NCT07020936

Summary

This study is testing whether a new automated insulin delivery system called AIDANET is safe and practical for children aged 6-13 with type 1 diabetes. The system uses a smartphone, a special insulin pump, and a continuous glucose monitor to try to keep blood sugar levels in a healthy range. Researchers will compare how well the system works to the children's usual diabetes care over a few weeks.
