First seen Jan 15, 2026 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study tests a device that uses mild electrical pulses to keep the airway open during sleep in people with obstructive sleep apnea who cannot tolerate CPAP machines. About 186 adults with moderate sleep apnea will use the device at home for 3 months, and researchers will measure breathing events, sleepiness, and quality of life. The goal is to see if this treatment is effective, comfortable, and cost-effective compared to usual care.
