New cream tested for stubborn fungal ear infections
NCT ID NCT07152327
Summary
This study is testing whether a cream containing the antifungal medicine terbinafine can effectively treat fungal ear infections (otomycosis). About 50 adults in Egypt with a confirmed infection will have a medicated ear pack placed in their ear canal, which will be changed every two days for two weeks. The main goal is to see if this treatment clears up symptoms like itching and discharge and gets rid of the fungus.
