First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study tests whether terazosin, a common blood pressure medicine, can increase energy production in brain cells of people with early Parkinson's disease. About 100 participants will receive either terazosin or a placebo for 6 months. Researchers will measure energy levels in blood and brain scans to see if the drug engages its target and may help control the disease.
