NCT ID NCT07224269

First seen Nov 06, 2025 · Last updated May 04, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This pilot study will test whether terazosin, a drug currently used for prostate issues, can increase energy production in people with ALS. About 20 participants will receive either terazosin or a placebo for 12 weeks. The goal is to see if the drug is safe and can raise ATP levels, which are often low in ALS. This is an early-stage study and will not determine if the drug actually slows the disease.
