NCT ID NCT06744166
First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study tested a special type of electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) based on wrist-ankle acupuncture points to see if it could reduce pain after lung surgery. 156 adults who had a lung lobe removed for cancer were randomly assigned to receive either the real TENS or a sham (fake) treatment. The goal was to see if the real TENS could lower pain scores, especially during movement or coughing, without using more drugs.
