First seen Jun 06, 2026 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study tests if a TENS device, which sends mild electrical pulses through the skin, can reduce pain during a common back injection procedure. About 52 adults with chronic low back pain will receive either a real TENS or a fake one during their injection. The goal is to see if TENS offers a simple, drug-free way to ease procedure-related pain.
