Summary

This study is testing whether a simple, non-drug device can make getting an IUD less painful. Researchers are comparing a handheld electrical nerve stimulator to a placebo device in 86 women during their IUD insertion appointment. The goal is to find a safe, easy way to manage the moderate to severe pain many people experience during this common procedure.
