New hope for kids with painful tummies: drug trial targets IBS-C

Summary
This study tests whether tenapanor can safely ease constipation and belly pain in children aged 6 to 12 with irritable bowel syndrome with constipation (IBS-C). About 72 children will receive either the drug or a placebo for 4 weeks. The goal is to see if the medicine increases weekly bowel movements and improves stool consistency.
