First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tested a small, wearable patch called TempShield that continuously monitors body temperature in children ages 1 to 4 in the emergency department. The goal was to see if it could detect fevers earlier than standard thermometers. 72 children participated, and the patch was worn for up to 7 hours. The results may help improve care for kids with fever or possible sepsis.
