Tiny, removable stent offers new hope for spinal injury patients struggling to urinate

NCT ID NCT02323243

Summary

This study tested a small, temporary tube (stent) placed in the urethra to help men with spinal cord injuries urinate more easily. The goal was to see if this removable device could be a good alternative to permanent, destructive surgery. Researchers measured how well it worked and how safe it was for the nine participants.
