New hope for kids with serious kidney inflammation

NCT ID NCT07354503

Summary

This study aims to see if a drug called telitacicept is a safe and effective treatment for kidney inflammation in children with IgA vasculitis, a condition that can lead to long-term kidney damage. It will compare telitacicept to standard steroid treatments in about 300 children aged 3-17. The goal is to find a treatment that better controls the disease and reduces harmful protein in the urine, potentially with fewer side effects than current options.
