Phone support boosts bipolar treatment adherence

Summary
This study tested whether 8 weeks of phone-based nursing counseling could help people with bipolar disorder take their medication regularly and function better in daily life. 70 participants were split into two groups: one received the phone counseling plus standard care, the other only standard care. Results showed that the phone counseling group improved their medication adherence and daily functioning compared to the control group.
