NCT ID NCT05287555
First seen Dec 12, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study looked at whether monitoring COPD patients' home ventilators from a distance can help them use their machines more regularly and avoid hospital visits. 54 adults with COPD who were new to home ventilation were split into two groups: one received standard in-person check-ups every six months, while the other had their ventilator data monitored remotely with extra support if problems arose. The goal was to see if remote care improves how long patients use their ventilator each day and their quality of life.
