App cuts phone calls for cancer care teams

Summary

This study tested whether a telemonitoring app called Cureety could reduce the number of phone calls hospital staff make to cancer patients on oral or IV treatments. 86 adults starting cancer therapy were randomly assigned to standard care or standard care plus the app. The main goal was to count all phone calls during the first 4 months of treatment.
