Home monitoring tech aims to get surgery patients home faster and safer

NCT ID NCT07186738

Summary

This study is testing a new home telemonitoring program called EPOCA for patients recovering from digestive surgeries like colorectal or bariatric procedures. It aims to see if using connected devices and remote support from a medical team can safely allow patients to leave the hospital earlier without increasing their risk of being readmitted. The program will be offered to 250 patients at Nantes University Hospital who are at higher risk for a long hospital stay or readmission.
