Smartwatch telehealth trial aims to keep liver patients out of hospital
NCT ID NCT07439770
Summary
This study is testing whether a remote care program using a telehealth platform and smartwatch monitoring can help people with advanced liver cirrhosis stay healthier at home. Researchers want to see if this approach reduces unexpected hospital visits and medical costs compared to standard clinic care. About 120 participants will use the remote system for a year while researchers track their health, hospital stays, and quality of life.
