Doctors test video calls to help kids breathe easier in ambulances
NCT ID NCT05967624
Summary
This small pilot study tested whether it's practical and acceptable for ambulance crews to use a simple tablet video call to connect a child with breathing problems to a remote doctor during transport. The goal was to see if the technology works in a moving ambulance and if medical staff find it useful, before testing whether it actually improves care. The study involved 20 children with respiratory distress being transported in the New England area.
