Remote breathing exercises boost recovery after lung surgery
NCT ID NCT07455552
First seen Mar 15, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study tested whether a telemedicine-guided breathing exercise program helps high-risk patients recover lung function and exercise ability after lung surgery. 58 patients who had a lung removed were split into two groups: one did breathing exercises at home with remote supervision, the other did unsupervised exercises. The goal was to see if the remote coaching improved walking distance and lung capacity more than doing exercises alone.
