Virtual guides aim to speed up autism care for rural toddlers

NCT ID NCT07086781

Summary

This study is testing if virtual family support sessions can help rural families in North Carolina get their young child (under age 4) into autism therapy faster after a diagnosis. It will compare families who receive four virtual coaching sessions with a trained guide to families who just get standard educational materials. The researchers want to see if this support speeds up the start of therapy, helps the child's development, and improves the caregiver's well-being over 18 months.
