Doctors get special training to help patients with severe gut failure live better

NCT ID NCT07094308

Summary

This study is testing a telehealth training program called LIFT-ECHO, where doctors who aren't specialists learn from expert teams about chronic intestinal failure. The goal is to see if this training helps doctors provide better care, which could improve patients' quality of life and reduce hospital visits. The study will involve about 150 doctors and over 300 patients who rely on home nutrition support.
