Virtual prenatal groups aim to protect moms from dangerous blood pressure condition

NCT ID NCT07491510

Summary

This study is testing whether a telehealth group prenatal care program can help prevent early-onset preeclampsia, a serious blood pressure condition, in low-income Black pregnant women in Kansas. Researchers will compare a program of virtual group sessions with doula support and home blood pressure monitoring to standard doula care. The goal is to see if the program helps women monitor their blood pressure better, take recommended aspirin, and ultimately reduce their risk of developing preeclampsia.
