Can video calls keep families together? new study tests online parenting support

NCT ID NCT06109766

Summary

This study is testing whether a 10-week parenting program delivered through video calls (telehealth) works as well as the traditional in-home version for families involved with child welfare services. Researchers will enroll 357 parents of infants (6-12 months old) to compare three approaches: online sessions, in-home visits, or usual care resources. The main goals are to see if the online program improves parent-child relationships, reduces challenging child behaviors, and helps prevent children from being placed in foster care.
