Telehealth brings HIV prevention to rural drug users
NCT ID NCT06845774
Summary
This study is testing if offering HIV prevention medication (PrEP) through telehealth at syringe service programs makes it easier for people who inject drugs to start and stay on the medication. It will compare this new telehealth approach to the standard method of education and referral. The goal is to see if bringing care directly to where people already go for services helps overcome barriers to HIV prevention in rural Appalachia.
