NCT ID NCT05336955
First seen May 14, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether telehealth (video or phone) mental health services work as well as in-person care for youth and young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). About 339 participants aged 12-45 who are new to the START program will be randomly assigned to receive either telehealth or in-person services. Researchers will track mental health symptoms, crisis service use, and family experiences over one year to see if telehealth can improve access to care.
