Summary

This study tests whether a short telehealth interview 3-7 days before a dental checkup helps patients with intellectual or developmental disabilities (IDD) have a smoother visit. About 50 youth with IDD and their caregivers will be randomly assigned to receive the telehealth call or not. Researchers will check if the call helps patients meet their dental goals and will survey caregivers and dentists about their experience.
